Pete Barr-Watson, Creative Commons

Pete Barr-Watson is the Senior Manager heading up Designer/Developer engagement around Silverlight for mobile at Microsoft. Previously he was Director of Business Development at iCommons & Creative Commons, and was a pioneer of using Flash® to create TV-based animation where his work included a 10-episode TV series that is still being shown across Europe. His other clients during this time included Channel 4, Macromedia, EMI Music, and Turner. He has been a two-time jury member at the prestigious Prix Ars Electronica and has spoke around the world at various creative and technical events such as BD4D, FiTC, and Design Engaged. He is a co-author of Friends of Ed’s New Masters of Flash 2002 and has both written and featured in many books and magazine articles globally.
