Flashforward Film Festival Awards 16 Big Orange Rubber Arrows
Flashforward Film Festival awards fifteen category winners and one People's Choice winner representing the best Flash® design and development from around the world.
September 20, 2007—Ventura, California The Flashforward Conference & Film Festival today announced all sixteen winners of Big Orange Rubber Arrows. The winners, who represent fifteen categories of work, accepted their awards September 19th at the live Flashforward Film Festival. The ceremony, which took place during the Flashforward2007 Boston Conference, showcases the best Flash design and development from around the world. The winners lead the ‘best of the best,’ producing new work from well-known, award-winning teams as well as work from fresh new firms and individuals. This year’s winners represent a wide array of work from commercial projects created by Advertising Agencies to highly personal work created by individuals—and everything in between.
“Each year the body of work submitted to the Flashforward Film Festival pushes the creative and technical limits of Flash,” said Lynda Weinman, CEO, lynda.com events, Inc. “We’re seeing more work submitted from the advertising world and at the same time deeply personal projects—both of which push and set the boundaries of Flash leading the industry to a new set of standards.”
The work in the Flashforward Film Festival is nominated by the creative community and finalists for the fifteen categories are chosen by a panel of expert judges. Flashforward Film Festival judges are chosen in advance of the Festival judging process. Festival nominations are judged in two rounds, by two separate panels of judges. None of the judges evaluate their own work, ensuring that each finalist has won the approval of several experienced and aesthetically diverse perspectives. Judges for the 17th Flashforward Film Festival were: Chris Allen, Aral Balkan, Jacob Bullock, Sandro Corsaro, Renee Costantini, Alec Cove, Loc Dao, Steven de la Torre, Peter Elst, Jared Ficklin, Chris Georgenes, Chafic Kazoun, Mario Klingemann, Jay Laird, Seb Lee-Delisle, Marc Leuchner, Tony MacDonell, Niqui Merret, Dominic Minns, Garrett Nantz, Chad Perkins, John Say, Dave Schroeder, Daniel Schutzsmith, Rich Shupe, Aaron Simpson, Colin Smith, Bill Spencer, David Stiller, Ben Stucki, Jeremy Thorp, Drew Trujillo, and Carlos Ulloa.
