The 16th Annual Flashforward Film Festival Sets A New Standard For Creativity

Austin, Texas - May 5, 2006

The largest Flash(r) film festival in the world is now scheduled for Austin, Texas. Scheduled for September 13th, 2006, the Flashforward Film Festival celebrates and honors the most innovative web projects created in Adobe Flash, chosen from worldwide submissions.

The 15 categories are: Art, Cartoon, Commerce, Experience, Game, Instructional, Motion Graphics, Narrative, Navigation, Online Application, Original Sound, Technical Merit, 3D, Typography, and Video.

From the outrageously creative to the technically amazing, the Flashforward Film Festival winners are chosen by an esteemed panel of judges, setting the bar for excellence in the interactive industry. This festival has already presented over 200 awards to top Flash sites from over 60 countries. And with its "People's Choice Award," the Flashforward Film Festival brings a little American Idol to the event, inviting the public to participate by voting online for the finalist of their choice.

Slated for September 11-14, 2006, the Flashforward Conference and Film Festival expects to bring together more than 2,000 international professionals from the film, design, and creative industries to meet, discuss, and draw inspiration from leaders shaping the industry.

Taking place in the modern, new Hilton Austin, Lynda Weinman and her staff fully expect the September event to exceed their past successes.
